EAGLE ROCK

Location

The community of Eagle Rock is bordered by the cities of Glendale, Pasadena, South Pasadena, and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Glassell Park and Highland Park.

About Eagle Rock

Named after a famous boulder that resembles the profile of an eagle, (easily seen heading east on the 134 freeway), Eagle Rock has become one of Northeast Los Angeles' most desired neighborhoods.  A gentrification of the area by young urban professionals has played a big role in the areas desirability.  Eagle Rock is home to 44th President Barrack Obama’s Alma Mater, Occidental College.  The center of the commercial district is Colorado and Eagle Rock Blvd.  Recently, new residential single-family attached projects have entered the market.  Some of my favorite places to go are Colorado Wine Company for afternoon wine tasting, Casa Bianca Pizza – but go early, and Auntie Em’s for the best cupcakes.  Cacao Mexicatessen has amazing unexpected food and Camilos has good old school Italian food.  I just had dinner at Little Beast and it was fantastic!  After all that eating you may need to start taking classes at Cardio Barre or swim laps at Occidental College’s pool!
