How he popped the question...
Matt and I were visiting my family in San Francisco. Little did I know that Matt had the ring with him the whole time! He was waiting for that perfect moment. We did so much that week: hiking in the redwoods, a romantic anniversary dinner at Flour Water, Alcatraz, and much, much more. Poor Matt, I can only imagine how the pressure built! At the tail end of our trip, we had a dinner planned with my Aunt Tam and were running so late! I was rushing around to get ready and had started to head out the door and than have Matt get down on one knee. I was so surprised!! He was so nervous and so sweet. He said that "Three years ago I had told him I loved him and today he wanted to tell me that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me." What a sweetheart! Anyhow, shortly after that he placed a beautiful, antique, diamond ring that he had designed on my finger. The man did good!
